We've had a very busy summer and fall!  We hosted D Camp this summer and had an amazing time with 29 D level campers.  We're gearing up to host Quiz Rally again in February, 2010.  We have been fortunate to have two barns willing to host us each month for our mounted meetings.  Thanks to Inavale Farms and Wild Rose Farm for your hospitality! 

This summer was especially exciting for two of our members.  Marshall and Julia participated in the Pacific Coast Champions held at Donida.  Julia competed in both dressage and show jumping bringing home 4th in both with 2nd place in Horse Management in both.  Marshall competed in tetrathlon and brought home  2nd place in team placing and 2nd in Horse Management and the High Point Male Individual score.  For those of you not familiar with tetrathlon it consists of four phases.  The human competitor runs, swims and target shoots and then compete in two rounds of show jumping, with a twist.  In the midst of the course they must dismount to open and close one gate and stay mounted to open and close another.   We are very proud of the hard work Julia and Marshall put into their competitions.

We are looking forward to our annual holiday party where we decorate gingerbread houses.  Last year we had amazing gingerbread barns to decorate!  We have our yearly calendar filled to the brim already for the 2010 year.  We're looking forward to more and games, with and without our horse friend.
